Adopt-an-Acre
Ever want to own some woods you don't have to manage and take care of? Adopt an acre! By "adopting an acre" of Conklin Run Wilderness Area, you can make a significant contribution to Mokoma Conservancy's goal of protecting this key area of the Lake Mokoma watershed and preserve the quality of the lake water. Additionally, your donation can be in honor of or in memory of a family, a family member, or a friend.

For each acre adopted, a plaque will be installed on the dedication sign up on the Conklin Run Wilderness Area land. This is an ongoing program, until all of the 243 acres are adopted. Example of reading on plaque: John and Jane Jones, in memory/honor of: (i.e. father, James Jones).
Proceeds from these donations go toward further expenses related to this CRWA land, toward the stewardship program for this, or toward the acquisition of other parcels of land key to the conservation of the natural areas in the Laporte area.
